This is a photo of the right front air spring and control arms we installed. Everything bolted right up, and other than cutting the frame to accomodate the larger diameter springs, no modifications had to be made.
Here are a few of the guys preparing to bolt up the differential housing.
This is a group of students working on mounting the air springs to the rear end. Only the students that maintain an A average can work on the project car. That's a great motivator!

The frame is ready to be repaired, reinforced, and then sent out to be sandblasted and powder-coated.
'Classics in the Classroom' is a project envisioned by the Somernites Cruise team in conjunction with Somerset Automotive Group. Representatives from both organizations contacted the Pulaski County ATC Automotive Technology program in late 2008 to gauge interest in a concept to build a ‘71 Chevelle to take part in the Hot Rod magazine Power Tour. Of course, the high school students were more than interested. The project car will use components donated by sponsors who wish to help high school students learn work skills which will enhance their employability.
The PCATC Automotive Technology program is NATEF certified.
